How it works
Metal stud partitioning is recommended for the internal dividing of larger rooms. These ‘false walls’ can be insulated and plasterboarded to ensure adequate soundproofing and energy efficiency. We do this by covering the partition with 1 or 2 layers of plasterboard depending on the level of soundproofing needed within the building or to meet specifications. For further insulation we’ll then fill the central cavity with fibreglass, ideal for both residential and industrial settings where thermal performance and noise reduction are paramount.

Why metal stud
There are many reasons metal stud partitions are chosen and one of which is their versatility. Once the stud wall is in place, you’ll have the option to fit door frames and plasterboards, with gyproc drywall screws into the metal stud, allowing individuals to flow easily between rooms. The plasterboard can either be skimmed or joint taped to a finish and also insulated to promote heat and sound insulation. The central cavity of the metal stud partitioned wall also makes an ideal hiding place for pipes and cables, making this option extremely flexible to your needs.
The system is lighter than timber stud, and is easier to cut, handle and install on sites across Belfast, Northern Ireland and other areas of the UK. Without the production of timbre shavings, you can expect a cleaner installation process, reducing the clean-up time and the mess caused.
